Second Breath

Second Breath
Yesterday were the lost days
My future wasn't bright
I lived in total darkness
There were no signs of light


But today is the first day
Of the rest of my life
For today I have decided
To give my life to Christ


Now I see new days
New days to fill with life
I have finally understood
The true meaning of life


I owe my life to Jesus
For He alone set me free
Nailed upon that rugged cross
The One who died for me


Now my future's endless
There is no second death
For once this life is over
I'll get my second breath
